visors met in special session yesterday. Mr. Noyes, from the building Committee, reported thut having visited Columbus, Indiana, and inquiied iuto the responsibility oí McCormick & Sweeney, whose bid was accepted, and of their sureties, he was satisiied that all the parties were good, and that it would be perfeotly safe to approve the bond offered. The Supervisors thereupon rescinded the resolution requiring sureties to reside in this State, aud directed the bond approved. It is expected that the contractore will commence work next week. After the adjournment of the Board of Supervisors the Building Committee met (Mr. Kiahpaugh being absent) and elected Judge Lawreuce temporary Superintendent
