The last regular Sundaj afternoon meeting ing of the Reform Club was ably addressed by Rev. William George. After the address Mr. Charles Boylan read some caref nlly prepared Btatistics, showing the great increase within ;en years in the value of the church property n the city and the correspondingly large decrease in the same period in the value of the reweries then and now iu operation. His ügures being correct church property has mcreased in value from $31,000 to $217,000, and jrewery property decreased from f75,000 to $27,000. The number of saloons and billiard ablea has decreased in nearly as large a ratio - the former from 85 to 35, and the latter frora 35 to 15. - The Club has purchased the fine organ which it has been using, and the choir on Sunday was further aided by a horn and violin. !t is intended to make music an important feature of the Club meetings. - Remember the Reform Club excursión to letroit and then by steamer to Walpole jlaDd,- to take place Wednesday next, Au;ust 1. Fare for round trip $1,50.
