Adjutant-lienoral rtobertson has issued a circular in rolation to target practice in which ho saya five men are to be detailed froin a coinpany for practico, and the target hereafter made use of both in oompany and regimental practice, when firing at 200 and 300 yards shall, shall be six by four toet. Bull's-oye circle, eight inches in diameeter. Center circle, twenty-six inches in diameter. Outer square, four by six feet. ïhe targot for tho 500 yards distance will be the same as heretoiore in 080. The pull of the trigger of rifles shall be not less than six pounds, and plugging the trigger8 or filing of sights, or using either in any other way, than as originally iutended, is prohibited. Men will be required to fire with their own rifles. The allowance of ammunition for each oompany, both for regimental and corapany practice, is limited to not moro than 2,000 round per annum, and from this, oompauius will be required to take with thom to the annual encampment gufficient for the regimental praotico. Asido from this allowanoe, each coinpany will be furnishod with, and required to keep continually on hand, and unopenod, 1,(100 rounds to meet emergencies.
