- Judge Clieever will address the club next Sunday afternoon, in the Opera House. - H. E. Ash and Charles Boylau went to Chelsea on Sanday eveuirg and addressed the club of that village. - Remember the Eed Ribboa ma96 meeting at Whitmore Laks to-morrow afternoou. R. E. Ches ter, of Detroiir After ] the speaking thirty-five signatures to the pledge were obtained- making sixty-five at the two meetings. The meeting was large and enthuiastic. The organization of the club was completed the same evening, and the following offioers elected : President, James Munroe . Vice President, Henry Richards; Secretary,' Theo. Hicks ; Treasurer, O. C. Sweatland. A number of members of the Ann Arbor club were present. - The Opera House meeting of the Reform Club on Sunday afternoon last was largely attended. Ueorge M. Chester, of Detroit, publisher and editor of the Red and White Ribbon, was the principal speaker, The story he told of his " bucking against the tiger " ince his student life in the TTniversity, some 17 or 18 years ago, and of his struggles with the " demon," was most affecting, and should have been sufticieut to oonvinoe the minds of all his hearers of the beuefits to be had by entirely abstainining from the use of liquors. Of the many speeches made by Mr. Chester, since his reform, we believe this was the first occasion on which he has related his " personal experiences." M. Almy Aldrich, also of Detroit, followed Mr. Chester with a few remarks, after which the pledge book was opened and five more persons " dared to do riglit."
