Ou liis way home to Kiiusas City he beeame sick, and, in the absence of a doctor, went to the stoarnboat bar and asked for and was given a drink of whisky. The drink, coming upon a system unaccustomed to it, created an intoxicatioD, which has beeu perpetual ever since.
