We havo enjoyed health in a remarkable degree. Our people have been secure in their homes and the sacredncss of pcrson and property has been preserve!. Wo have been saved trom war with its attendant horrors, and from the disorder wlncli elsewhei o in our land lias recentlv destmyed niany lives aud niucli property. üur rich harvest give.i hope that the clouds of iinancial distress and embarassment which have settled upo us will soou ba litted. We have enjoyed the advantages ot home, of society, of religión, and of good governineut, and have advanccd in all the elementa that constitute a great, fres, ainl jirospcrous people.
