It is a thoroughly satisfactory document, preparod not by a party of iutorested policy-holüers, but by the State Superintendent. The result is such a statement as every good man oï business makes for his own satïsfaction and tuat of his assoctates, at least once a year. The simplest mind can grasp it, and tho policy-holder may know -where every dollar of the company is invested, and just how the company stands to-day. In contrast with companies which are vouched for by iuterested parties, and with those whicb. inake a statement so iuvolved that it requirea a business expert to read and coinprehend them, we commeud tho examination of the New York Life to our readers who aro iuterosted in life insuranco.
