Waring, with whose excellent work of various sorts our readers are familiar, eontributes two illustrated articles on the horse. He treats speeially of saddlehorscjBand theiruse for pleasure and for sport, ineluding road-riding, fox-lumting and racing. The sature of the English thoroughbred and that of bis Eastern progenitor (the Arabian) are fully consldered in relation to these uses.
