Sitting Bull
Col. Corbin, of the Government commission appointed to confer with Sitting Bullnpon bis future courso and demanda, has returned to Washington. He saya that Sitting Bull, while very formal and dignified in council, did not treat tbe commiesion uugraciously in a prívate way, but was very compnnionable, and gave the members of the commission several interviews, which were interesting and important. In one of these he gave a description of the Custar massacre, which diffcred very little írom the eircumstances as generally nuderstood. Custer charged Sitting Bull and hie band, who outnumbered him ten to one, and was surrounded and destroyed böfore he conld eut bis way ont. Sitting Bull says that if Reno bad not retreated whci) be did the Indinns, who were already retreating, would have been badly demoralized and lost the flght. Sitting Bull accompauied the commission in a sevexal-hows' ride ou their return journev.
