Details of a horrible crime reaoh here froni Matamoros. About the lOth of September, Donna Ritu Chapa de Menchaoa, a wealthy lady of Matamoras, accompanied by her niece, Señorita Orils, and one female and two male attendants, eft Matamoros bound for Monterey. Che bodies of the whole party were 'ound f our days ago near Lobita Kancho, about forty miles from Matamoros. The women had been assanlted, bound band and foot and gagged. There were no marks of shooting or Btabbing, and it is jelieved they were lef t to die a horrible death from starvation and exposure. Donna Bita had a large amount of money and much valuable jewelry on ler person. The greater part of the money was in drafts, whieh the robbers eft undisturbed. Her rings and other ewelry and money, amounting to some $300, were taken by the murderers. The nules were killed, and the ambulance by whieh the party was traveling was thrown into a lagoon. It is reported that in an oíd well a short distance from the scène of this horrible crime were found the remains of thirteen persons. The authorities are doing their utmost to obtain some clew to the perpetrators of these atrocities, but with little prospect of success. - Diapatch to the Oalveston (Texas) News.
