In the farwn of Wells, Me. . tbere are two brothers, one 77, the otWi 72 years of age, weighing nearly 500 ounds nnd mt asuring in height abor 1 twelve feet bíx inclies combinecl, liv'i; abont four miles f rom North Bern i k, in the vicinity of Brngdon & Wef'.'s mili. What is remarkable about these two men is that they were bom in the house they now live in, ancl neyer went awayfrom home. Both are married and have families. They have always lived on this place, and never divided any property, never kept any accounts, never qnarreled, neveï had any hard words or disagreements. The farm contains upward of 500 acres of land, over 350 of which are heavily ! timbered. Their timber and wood traet is nearly a naile square, extending from their house, which sets isolated and in from the main road, back to tl;g Bostiii , and Maine track. There are hundred of trees upward of a hundred feet high and some of which mensure from fom to five feet in diameter at the butt There are no suoh trees in this seotion of Mninc as are owned by " Jack & Oliver," as they are known f ar and near. ïheir children, -when they go to the store for goods, say to the merchant: "Oharp;e to father."
