No labor is performeci by the prisoners bringing any reveuue to the county, and none by them except such as " is necessary to keep the prison and the suirounduigs in a clean aud healthy sonditiou " and to " prepare the fuel ueoessary for the use of the prisoners." L- We are also advisedthat a member of the State Board of Uharities receutly visited and inspected the jail, and pronouueed it the best kopt jail in the State : whioh makes Sheriff Case " feel bis oats."
