Sonos fob Gold Locks. By Mrs. Clara Uoty Bates. E. B. Smith &, Co., Detroit. It would be hard to find a daintier book for children, even in these days ot abuudant miuistering to chüd fancy, than the one before us. There is sufficieut varioty in the songs to keep the httle ones iuterested and meet the demands of changiug moods. To our mind the exquisite rendenng of Hans Christian Andersen's " Story of the Stork " is the gem of tht collection, but from the ñrst song to the closing " Lullaby " Gold Locks and her playmates, with locks of browu or whatever shade, will tiud only enjoymeut. The illustrations, by MrB. Charlotte Doty Finley, contribute their full aliare in beauty, and make the little volume as delightful to the eye as could possibly be wished. Both songs and pictures show the sisters who uuite their giïts in this holiday volume to be lovers of children and nature. If yon want an overcoat íor a boy four years old go to Jue T. Jacobs.
