POND - In Flint, Mich., January 27, Nathan Pond, aged 83 years, 5 months, and  18 days,- father of Miss A. A. Pond, for many years a teacher in the Grammar School of this city, and uncle of the publisher of the Argus.
Nathan Pond was born at Hinesburg, Chittenden County, Vt., Aug. 9, 1794. White yet a youth his father removed to Schroon, Essex County, N. Y. From Schroon the deceased went to Wilmington in the same county, and from that town removed to Michigan in 1832, settling in the town of Ann Arbor, near Dixboro. After some years he removed to Putnam, Livingston County, and later to Howell, where his wife died in 1859. In later years he has made his home alteniutfly with a son and daughter at FUnt,- Oorge H.
