In some pleasant remmisccnces of the early Wiseonsin bar, a writer in the Milwaukec Sentinel tells tlie following anecdote of Judge Frazier : " In a case vvliere a judgment had been obtained agaiaet a party by tho name of Lott Blaiioliard, an applioation was made lor a stay of exeoution for one year, under the statute then in foroe, which authorized it to be done wliere the dobtor could show that he had no property. Blanchard appeared before the Judge, who queBtio06(i Jiiin as to his means to pay tlie judgment, and the reply was that lie was dcstitute of any property. He was tllen asked what his business was. and he replied a fisherman. H. N. Wells was the attornoy for the creditor, auĆ¼ the Judge, on iinding that the debtor was willing to pay the judgment in fish, addresged Mr. Wells and told him that ho must receive fish in payment, at the same time giving the debtor explicit orders to deliver ' good and not stiuking fish. ' Whether the fish were ever paid or not was never informed. "
