The temperanoe revival held the past vveok has beon a glorious sucess. A strong interes was manifestad from the begimiiug ; this was kept up and constautly iucreased in spite o bad weather and rauddy roads. We did no füil to have a f uil house every night. A grea deal ot tlie success was due to the brotherly interest and earnest labors of members o: Aun Albor Reform Club led by Robert E Frazer aud John Schurnacher. Mr. Joshua Sniith, President of the Detroit Keform Club speut two nights and oue day with us aud die a great deal of good. Ou Friday night we obtaiued 68 new signatures to the pledge, and on Monday uight, the last one of the meetings 55 nsmes were obtained, makiug a grand total for the eight nights ot 274 names, of which 152 were men - adding that many to the Saliue Refosin Club ; 89 were ladies, and oí were boys. We have three temperances socioties in this place,- the S. B. Club, Womeu's Christian Temporalice Union, und the Band oí Hope, cousisting of boys. The S. R. Club had 248 members and now has au even 400. The W. C T. Union had 188 members and now has The Band of Hope had C9 members, and iiow has 102 making the total number of signatures to the pledge during the past year 779. The ladies of Saline gave a free dinner ou Wednesday ovening to all signers of the pledge The Lyceum of Salino Union School had a public debate on last Tuesday evening ou the question- " Resolved that a Monarchial iorm of Kovennnunt is preferable to a Republican." Jissayists, Miss Hoyt and Miss Hammond ; Speakers, Mr. Preston Rouse and Mr. Emmet Bassett. A good attendanee aud very ïnteresting discussion. Sálete, Pebtúkry 28.
