An old lady named Curtís and her son, residing on a farm in Stetson, had in their employ f or some time a yotmg man named Wiiliam Kimball. Wednesday evening this young man was in the barn, feeding the cattle, when the old lady, with an overooat over her head, went past the barn door. He noticed her and called out to her, "Who are you?" She answered, " It is I. Don't you know me, Willio ? " He answered, "You are a tramp, and I'll giye you enough of it," and plunged his fork into her side - one tine penetrating her lung. Her son heard the outcry and rushed to her assistance and rescued her from the mistaken man. A physioian was called, and, af ter a careful examination, he pronounoed her injuries fatal. It is now understood that the members of this family have read and talked so much about the depredations of tramps - and taken suoh precautions to proteot their property from these roving nuisances - that this young Kimball, upon this subject, became somewhat affected witli monomanía, and in this peculiar state of mind committed this fortúnate act. -
