The Quiucy (III.) Whig tolls tliis story: "A few evecings since, while a number of persons were chatting in a drug store, a gentleman carao in, followed by a small dog. While the mastcr was prociirinp; some medicine, the dog wilked nronncl the store-room, and fiually pioked np something and ran to one of the gentlemen and attraóted attontion by scïatching his clothing. The man looked down and noticed tnat the dog had a pioee of paper in his mouth, but thought notlriug more of it. ThV; dog, not satisfierl, repeatod hia apparent appcal, but net witli succesp, nnd then went to his owner, who toik the paper nd saw it was a $10 bank-noto. Tlie dog had fotpod it on the floor, nnd evi deutlykeewit wftfl vulunble. It ubsequently transpired t'nat tho money belonged to Dr. J. ï. W}lson, and it was returned to him. the dog was rewarded f or his sagacity by the present of a handsome new collar."
