Twenty-seven years ngo a lady, now living in this city, deposited $100 in a Philadeiphia bank, and had that amount entercd in a bank pass-book. She subsequently lost the pass-book, and, beiieving that she could not draw the inoney, in consequence oí the absence of this evidence of her deposit, never again went to the bank. Ia looking over some old papers in Philadelphia, not long since, the book was found, and efforts wore made to find ont whether any of her kinspeople were vet living, but this provcd unsuccessfm. At last she was traced to Nashville. Letters were occordingly written to her, and she was informed that, if she wonld send a power of attorney to the bank, she would receive in return the $100 principal and the acoumulated interest - 8227.
