The secret which Williamson, tbo eseaped convict from Sing Sing, recently convicted oí forgery in London, olTered to impart for the suin of $75,000, was the flooding of European ports with $50 oounterfeit United State national-bank ourreuoy, a large amount of whick is doding its way to this country through emigrants. Another countorfcit was detected by Samuel Oarpenter, General Bastern Agent of the Pennsylvania railroad. A $50 United States treasury note was offered to Mr. Hyer, General Ticket Agent, who, not liking the appearance of the bill, showed it to Mr. Carpenter, who pronoucced it il counterfeit.
