A Democratie County Convention was held at Hangsterfer's Hall in this city on Tuesday, July2, at 11 o'clock a. m. The convention was called to order by C. H. Bichmond, Chairman of the County Committee, and Gov. Felch was, on motion, made temporary Chairmau. Charles R. Wlntman, of Ypailanti, was choaen Secretary. The following Committee on Credeutials and Permanent Orgauization was appointed : Messrs. D. Cramer, C. S. Gregory, and W. H. Dancer, atter which the convention adjourued 2 o'clock p. m. At 2 p. m. the convention carne to order, the Committee on Credeutials reported, and also reported temporary ofticers as the permanent officers, which report was adopted. The couvention then divided into districts and reported the following delegates to the State Conventiou : lst district- C. Joslin, A. K. Clark, F. J. Swayne, Myrou Webb. 2d district - Alpheus Felch, J. L. Burleigh, Hascall Laraway, Michael Fleming. 3d district - M. D. Case, E. P. Harper, D. LeBaiou, Charles Whitaker. Alteruates, C. S. Gregory, Junius Short, A. E. Hewett, Gaorge W. Turn Buil. On motion, each delégate was authonzed to appoint his otvu substitute, and the delegation to lili auy final vacancies. The following County Committee was appointed : Peter Tuito, Cliairmau, C. R. Whitman, Myrou Webb, E. M. Colé, W. D. Harriinan, A. E. Hewett, George W. Turn Buil. No resolutions were adopted.
