He grumblee in the morning On rising from bis bed, He grumblen at liis breakfast While Bpreading butter on Iiíb bread. He grumbles at bis napkin, He grumbles at his knife, He gnimbles at the tablecloth, And grumbleB at bis wif e. He grumbles at the paper While reading o'er the news, He grumbles at the cobbler When he buys a pair of shoes. He grumbles at the clock When it strikes out the hour, And he grumbles at the " deluge " When there comes a little shower. He gumbies at the children When they'rê playing in the street, He grumbles at the butcher At the way he cuts the meat. He grumbles at bis little dog, If it only wags its tail, And when the wind gently blows He grumbles at the " gale." He grumbles when a bilí comes in, No matter how very sroall, He grumbles at the servante, He grumbles at us all. He grumbles at tbe darkness When he has to light the gas, And he grumbles at the matches- The unhappy gnvmbling asa.
