The animal shooting tournament ot' the Aun Aibor Schuetzenbnnd took place at the Society's park in this city on Monday and Tuesday ot this week. During tha two days 3,800 shots were iired. For the regular prizes twenty-üve coutestant8 entered. The prizes were taken in the following order, the figures aíter the ïiarues being the uumber of lings made : 1. John Armbruator, 69,14. J. Thu first prize was ïló in gold, the second an ice pitcher, aud the third a Smith fc Kenison rovolver. All the shootors resido in this city bat threo. Euoff hails from Detroit and Stahl and Avrill from Battle Creek In the shooting iut üaga Johu Armbruster took 22, John Stahl 20, August Ruoff 18, Richard Beahan 18, Fred. Bross 15, Alvin Wilsey 14. Armbruster is King. Ou Mouday eveuing next we are to have the famous Callender Gergia Miustrels at the Opera House Thoy are composed entirely of colored men, and are now in their 13th year as an organization. They are enroute for California whence they mako a trip around the world. In Washington receutly they were attended by the Vice-Presideut, Socretary ot War, thoJ apáñese aud Spanish legislatious, aud inany notable diguitaries. lu Boston where 40,000 people attended thom in four weeks, they were recouimended by the Hon. Win. Lloyd CJarrisou, James T. I'ields, if. T. Barnum. and received autograph letters from the poets Longfellow and Oliver Weudell Holmes. Their performance is uproarious in its iun and merriment, but entirely ïorined Mr. Gairisou says : "It is gratitying to see that no imjiutation is brought agamst them of presenting anything offeusive to the eye or e ar.
