Arriving at the place, I found her in a negro quartor, lying on a pallet, much excited and alarmcd. Hefore examiuing and dressing her wouiids, rhe told me Ilonry Pinkston had boen killed, and that nhe wan hadly wonnded, and believod that she was going to die. Sht told me ihe wonld teil me the honest truth ; as she did not expect to live, tshe would teil me tho " solid truth." She said : ''Fiftsen or twenty nocroes camo to our house some time hef ore daythls morniug and killed Henry and woundod me, as you now gee." 6he said she was positivo that it was none bnt ncgroes that did It all.
