A New Horseshoe
horsoshoe made of cowhide, and known a.s the Yates shoe. It is composcd of three thicknesses of cowliido compressed iiito a steel mold, and then subjeoted fco n cheinical prcpnnition. It is claimcd for it that it lasts longor and w(!ighs only one-fourth as much iis the eommon iron shoe; that it will novcr causo the hoof to split, nor have the least injurious influence on the foot. It requises no ealks ; even on asphalt the horse never slips. The shoe is so elastic that the horse's steji is lighter and surer. It adheres so closely to the foot that ueither dust nor water can penetrate between the shoe and hoof. Mr. W. F. Pakkkr, of Nashua, N. H. puzzles the doctors with an annual ats tack of the measles. For twenty year they have broken out upon him, on the same day of the year and at precisely the same hour.
