Extract from "Chicago Primer "for the infaiit class: ïhere was once a good lit-tle St. Lou-is boy who was told by his pa nev-er to go sail-ing on Sundáys or he would be drown-ed. He obey-ed his fa-ther though the bad boys made fun of him. One Sun-day he and his sis-ter were walk-ing by the river whon they saw i boat full of bad boys. "Oh, see," said Torn; "by-andby these bad boys will get up-set." In a few min-utes the boat turn-ed ovenand the bad boys were drown-ing. "I can save them," said Tom; "quick, Siisan, off with youv shoe !" So Tom took one of his sis-ter's shoes and push-ed it off and got in it. He row-ed with a siece of bo:j.rd to where the bad boys ■were kick-ing in the wat-er, and took ;hem all in and brought them safe to and. Do you not think that Tom was a ver-y brave boy, and that his sis-ter had ver-y big f eet?- Boston Travelier.
