Dr. Ueorg was the lowest of thu sereu bidders for jail physieian, and the Board awarded him the position ou Monday, at a salary of f50 for his services, medicines included. The highest bid was $125. - On Tuesday the Board elected D. B. Oreene, Esq , ot Ypsilanti, Superintendent of the Poer. Vote, 13 for Qreene and 12 scattering. Mr. Greeue will succeed Dr. Itexford. - The Board has ordered the board bilis of the Sheriff audited at 56 cents a day for the last year (13 cents less than the price establiahed a year agoj, and fixed the pnce for the coming year at 50 cents a day, but as a compensation for the reduction his bilis are to be audited by the Clerk aud paid quarterly. - On Monday, by a vote of 16 to 7, the Board decided to heat the Court House by ïteam.hmited the cost to f2,000, aud appointed Clark Cornwell, of Ypsilanti, and Supervisors Robison and Whitaker to purchase the apparatus aud superintend the putting of it in. Ou Tuesday- becoming satisfied that 12,000 waan't enough tor the purpose- the whole action was reconsidered and the subject tabled. - K. A. Beal, of the Courier, was awarded the contract for printing 1,500 copies of the proceediugs of the Board, for f120. The bid of the Register office was f195. - John Keek was before the Board ou Friday last, exhibited his plans for Court House furniture, and gave his version of the action of the Building Committee. - The Board wrestled with the heating problem again on Wednesday afternoon, aud the final conclusión was the appointmeut of Messrs. Kobison and Whitaker a committee, with authonty to ïelect a third member and to put in the necessary steam heating apparatus, letting the work by the job or purchasing boiler, pipes, etc., aud hiring by the day. No limit was iixed to the cost ; but we understand the eatimates mide by Mr. Cornwell and an expert mechanical engiueer nd fitter is f3,500. -The Board yesterday relieved four memben of the. Building Committee from duty, leaving Judge Lawrence to run the machine alone. -Wednesday a committee was appoiuted to report an estímate of the cost of finishing tour rooms in the basemeutof the Court House. - The expenses of the Building Committee already audited and paid are about f 1,150.
