The list of deaths publi&hed in u late number of tho Hartford (Cfc. ) Weekly Courant, shows an average longevity greater, we presume, than that of any otlier ordinary death record ever printed. The aggregate amount of the ages of forty persons, whose deatlis are thei-e recordod, is 2,701 years - the averige being over (17 years. The youngest was 21, and the oldest "more than 100." Classified, we find those whose ages were bctweon 20 and 80, -1 ; 80 and 40, 7; 40 and 50, 2; 50 and 60, 3; GO and 70, 1 ; 70 and 80, 6 ; 80 and 90, 10 ; 90 and 100, 7; "more than 100," 1. This ;is( was an oíd negro man, supposed (o se 105 or 106 years old. In Kansas they propose trackinp; lorse-thieves with blood-hounds, and ;he horse-thieves propose poisoning the alood-lionnds with sponges fried in lard.
