It wasn't a good day tor tho Domocracy on Tuosday, oithor in Michigan or any othor State. In this State the entire Republican State ticket is electod by a plurality of 40,000. This morning's Vree Press estimatcs tho Uopublioan vote at 120,000, the Democratie at 80,000, and the Greenback at 70,000. The Republicana also elect tho nine members of Congress by pluralities as follows : First District, John S. Newberry, 1,299. Sacond District, Kdwin Willits, ;i,669. Thinl District, Jonas H. McGowan, lt660 Fourth District, Julius C. Burrows, (,'24(). Filth District, John W. Stone, 871. Sixth District, Mark S. ISrewer, 2,176. Seventh District, Omar D. Condor, 2,614. Eighth District, Koswoll G. Ilorr, 1.474. Nïnth District, Jay A. Hubbell, 5,000. The Legislaturo is estimated to stand: Senato - Republicana, '21 ; Domocrats, ó ; National Greenbackers, 3. House - Republicans, 71 ; Democrats, 1 1; N. Qa, 8. In other Northern States the Domocracy faired about asbadly, losing CongreBsmen, in Connecticut, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The Republicana elected the Judgo of the Court of Appeals in New York, the only State officer running, and the combination scooped Tammany in New York City, to the tune of 20,000. This is enough for this week.
