In liiberty eonnty, (til, on the niglit of the 12th nlt.. onei Sam GanMin went to the house of Simon Osgood,wholivs in Liberty county, to inquire abont a debt whioh Gauldin owed Osgood, and which Osgood had given to a constable to collect. There was a dispute, and Simon Osgood, who is an old man, "with three of liis sons and i grown daughter, seized Gauldin imd Beat him terribly with stiefts, fenco rails aïrd a hoe. He died the next day. Two of the sons, Henry and R&ymond, aro grown men ; the other, James, is a youth of 13 years. Tho girl, Ellen, is abont 19. Henry escaped, but all fche others .were arrested, imd on Wednesday and ïimrsday were feried. The old man, Simon, was found gnilty of volnntary miinslanghter, and sentenced to twonty years in the penitentiary; Raymond and Ellen wereconvictod of murder, and senteneed to be hanged on Tlmrsday, the 19th of December, and James, convicted of involuntary m:mslaughter, was sentenced to one year in the ponitentiary. - Savarinah (Ga.)
