- Talmadge is coming, suro. - Senior "quizzes" have commencod in the Law departraent. - The University "Gloe Club" will soon give a concert at Pontiac. - Helen Potter reads and irapersonates at University Hall thia evening. - Mr. De Pont, secretary of the Faculty, is detained from bis duties by sickness. -The Y. M. C. A. niaking efforts to secure Bishop Simpson for an address at their annual meeting. - The senior Pharmacy olass vvill probably have their pictures taken by the artist employed for the Law Department. - At the laat meoting of the Webster Literary society C. S. Cobb was elected president, L. K. Mihills, vice, Jas. H. Blood, sect'y. - There was a very pleasant entertainment at Prosidont Angell's Tuesday evening for the benefit of the "Ladios' Library Aasociation." - Prof. Kent commenoed his course of lectures on ïorts, Tuesday. Judge Campbell lectures on Equity, Practice and Pleading this term. - Mr. Hanger, a photographer of Syraouse, N. Y., has arrived in the city to do the work for the Senior liaw Class. The Junior Laws aro allowed the same rates. - Prof. Wells of the Law Department was welcomed back, after his illness, by the unaniinous and hearty cheering of the entire .department (ladies excepted). He replied in his usual ploasant way. -The New York World saya that Prof. Cocker's (of Ann Arbor) paper on "Moral Government," in the January number of the Princeton Review, discusses its subject "in trenohant style and with logical cloamess." - Sevoral partios are spoken of to deliver the addross beforo the Law Classes, Feb. 22d, among thom Zack Chandler, Sect'y. Thompson, Dan'l. Voorhees and Mr. Doolittle. No positivo arrangements have been made yet. - The largest and most intelluctual audience of the season, enjoyed the Camilla Urso Concert at the University Hall last Priday evening. The entire company were very obliging ia returning to the stage in response to the vociferous clapping of hands. -The lecture by Prof. D'Ooge on the recent excavations of Dr. Schloiman at Mycenso, was illustrated by drawings, and was very interesting and profitable to the good audience in attendance. The Glee Club of the Literary department sung some of their characteristip songs. - So popular has been the course of leetures, under the auspices of the "Students' Lecturo Associatiou " that there ia a strong probability of having four or five entertainments in addition to those already announced, among them the famoua "Red HuBsar Band," which delighted Ann Arbor people so much at the Opera Houso. -The Jeffersonian Society of tho Law department has elected the following officers: Presidont, C. E. Chapman ; Vice President, John McDevit; Recording Secrotary, K. H. Field; Corresponding Secretary, J. C. Milner; Treasurer, W. D. Beokitt; Senior Critic, W. S. Kerr; Junior Critic, E. E. Witche; Marshall, J. C. Sheridan. A comniittee of three was appointed to coufer with tha officers of the Webstor Society, to arrange, if possible, for a joint public meeting and debate.
