Saline, Jan. 27. - Capt. Linsoott spoka for three nights before the Ladies' Temperance Union to crowded houses and with good resulta. - Kev. R. B. Pope delivered hia leoture "As others see us," at the M. E. Church Jan. 22, to a fair sized audience. It was well received. - David Sears has rented one-half of the store occupied by Webb & Warren, grooers, and will put in a stock of boots and Shoes in the spring. - The Episcopal society of Mooreville have secured the services of the Röv. O. Fuller of Ypsilanti, and will re-organize the society and repair their church. - Andrew Warren has in his posseasion 8ome curioua and valuable coins whioh he has collected in the past ten or twelve years numbering over one hundred in all. One, of the date of 1813 and an advocate of hard money, beara the inscription of "Pure copper preferable to paper" on one side, and on the other of "Trade and Monopoly." - Robert E. Frazer addressed the Reform Club at Uniou School Hall on Sunday evening Jan. 26. An adinission fee of five cents was asked for and the house waa literally packed. The club numbers 572 and are now out of debt, with a good working organization, the Ladiea' Temperance Union to back thetn, and Bro. Dan. Shier to bog for them, they expect to remain so. - Representativea from Manche8ter, Dexter, Ann Arbor and Ypailanti of Arbieter societies gathered here on Tuesday of last week to effect a settlement of the Ehnis-Frank difficulty. The President, Mr. C. Hauser, refuaed to entertain them or their propositions, as he says that Mr. Frank is the man that brought the action and he alone is responsible for mattera aa they tand. The Presideut's opinión is that it ia beyond their jurisdiction and have no right to entertain propositions looking to a settlement, and in that opinión he ia sustained by the society of which he is a ninmKar
