UHELSJSA, jan. OU. - Diphtheria is reported to be taking off a great inany childroa in and about Grasa Lake. - There bas only boen two sinall loada of wheat here sinee the sleighing broke up last week, anii all business is very quiet. The Chelaea Reform Club has been obliged to postpone its week of revival meetings till Maren, on account of recent unfavorable circumstances which it could not control. Two fine new business houses are nearly finished here and will be occupied neit month. The business of Chelsea has so increased that it has need for more business houBes, which is something that very few similar towns can say. - The old Reeves grist mili in the short hills, in the edge of Livingston county, belonging to Ira Reeves, took fire Wednesday ovening about 6 o'clock, from the burning out of a defective flue, a n.iir ji.-i. -.--J ti . i.-:u over 30 years ago and was one of the old landmarks of that section. It formerly had a distillery connected with it from which it got the name of " Heil," by which name it bas been known ever gince. A considerable amount of wheat and flour was destroyed in the fire, making the total loss about $3,000, on which there was no insuranoe.
