Timidly the iuforniation is given to the officern of the law, and guilty secrets tliat have been kept for years are told in whispered acconts. ííot only have these noble mo.untaineers fought and killed each other, but they have waylaid, robbed and murdered travelers whose journey led them througb. the treacherous Lilis. Maj. Kinney, the prosecutor appointed by the State, learns of men who, having lodged at certain cabins at night, disappeared the next day, and were never lieard of again.
