A horrible affair lately occurred at Lincoln, Neb., resulting in the death of two boys. The family of Eachel Broadwell, eonsisting of herself and three boys, agcd 17. 18, and 11, slept in one room in a rosidonee. Before retiriug they built a large firo in a soft-foai I sitove, ftn4 glmt the stove tightly. (Jas, esoaping in tlie niglit, filled the room â– witli poison. Henry and James, the eldest two sons, had their lungs so charged with gas that thoy died, in spite of the exertions of the physidans. The youngest slept near a crack in the side of the house, through which pure air entered, and saved his lifo.
