The fittsburgh Telegraph tells an nteresting story of a Mrs. Anna Banks, whose father was a half-brother of Jef'erson Davis, and whose inother was au ndian woinan. The family lived in iuuisiana, and Mrs. Banka worked on a lantation with the slaves till the openng of the war. At thattimea regiment was formed in the neighborhood, and he and her sister were compelled to join t. They were given uniforms and at once weut into active service. She was seriously injured in a scrimmage, and while in the hospital her sex was discovered. - She was then dismissed from service, and has lived in Pittsburg ever since, with the exception of three years.
