Church Maroh 5, Sabjoct, " Source and weight of Character." - Died at his home in the village of Saliae, Feb. 19, Christopher Hauser cf Bright's disease, aged óO years. - Jeroine Murray talked tempéranos at Forbes's school house five iniles from Saline Sunday attemoon of the "23d to a large orowd. - The Reform Club dinuer was partaken of by a goodly numbtsr of people, the beauty and elite of the town doiug the honors of tue tables. - Jerome Murray deliverad a laoture at Union School Hall Sundny evening to a large and euthusiastio audience. - Mr. Murray is a ploasant and agreeable speaker and held his audieuce as if bound by one common feeling. - From the pulpit of the Pres byteriau ohurch last Sunday morning and by the Rev. Dr. Richmond of Ypsilanti, Rev. D. L. Murray was pronounced guilty of lasoivious cohabitation with Miss Maruie Johnson that being the ■ dict of the Detroit Presbytery. - A large concourse of people followed the reniains of Christopher Hauser to their last restiug place. The societies of whioh he was a raembor, the Arbieter and Reform Club, turned out iu large nuaibers and eseorted the body to the grave. A uuinber of prominent Rd Ribbon men being present from Ann Arbor. - Saturday evening Feb. 22, a large orowd of people assembled at Union . School Hall to liaten to an address deliyered by Robert E. Frazer. lt was an able one and in paying a touohing tribute to tbe dead Brother that aignod the pledge one year ago, won for himself & : plaoe deeper down in the hearts and afteotions of the peopla of Saline.
