- J-üe supervisors allowea tno contractors $8,041.30 for extra work. - Probate Jude Harriman takes possession of the rooms assigned his office to-day. - Register of Deeds Hanly vacatec the old and went into the new office on Saturday. - The new court house was formally accepted by tne su)iiiv;u... o Thursdav of last week. - Eoorus in eastend of basement were ordered finished off for janitor's accouimodation at expense of $500. - Treasurer Fairchild was the first county official to move into the new quarters, taking possession on Priday. - Eooms have been set apart for the comuion council, the ladies' library association, and the circuit court coinmissioners. - Insurance committee were instructed to place $50,000 on building and furniture, at the expiration of the policy, March 15, held by contractors. The Washtenaw County Pioneer Society met ia the chapel of the Union School in. Saline on the 5th inst. Addresses were delivered by Mrs. Mary E. Poster, Mrs. N. H. Pierae, and Mr. Dewey, President of the Lenawee Oounty Pioneer Society. A paper was read by Mr. John Geddes giving the dates and descriptions of soine of the first landa bought in Ypsilanti and the natnes of the purchasers. The ladies of Saline and Lodi treated the society to an excellent and bountifuldinner. The metnbers froin thia city report a very enjoyable time. The next quarterly meeting will be held at Ypsilauti.
