Saline, Mareh 11. - Died March 6, Archy, son of B. P. and Euitna Divenport, aged 2 yeara. - Doctor Watson has changed his residence - moved on to his farm in Lodi. - Jiimuy Crandall, son of Mrs. A. G. Lawrence, is confined to the house with scarlet fever. - Joshua Wübb, brother of ex-sheriff "Webb, died March 10, caused by astroke cf paralysis. - Lon Stacy of Adrián, was in town several days last week attending to legal business. - Tho Itev. Mr. Shanafelt at M. E. hurch. Maroh 18. Subject - Iminortality of Thought. - Thero was a Iarge attendance at tbe Pioneer meeting held here March 5th at Union School Hall. The next meeting is called at Ypsilanti. - Mr. Benson of Indiana loctured on temperance at Union School Hall last Sunday evening to a Iarge audience. He was prouounced by one and all who heard hira to be the best temperance orator thoy ever listened to. - Corporation election passed off quietly. There were two tickets in the field and quite an interest manifested. The regular ticket headed by Myron Webb and supported by the temperance element was electod with the exception of two trustees which were on the opposition ticket and supported by tha saloon men. The fight centered on the trustees. Henee it muy be considerad a i victory for the saloon men.
