D.. of Detroit, formerly a jrofessor of Theology at Germán Walace College, Berea, O., will preach both n the morning and evening. Ho is mown as one of the best Germán pulnt orators. All are iuvited. - A fair audience, composed of mem)ersof different rehgious denominations, assembled in the Unitarian church Sunlay morning, the occasion being a menorial service commemorative of the ate Rev. C. H. Brighara, who founded he society in this city, and who for 12 years was the honored pastor. The alar prosented a most beautiful appearance, and there were floral offerings in abundance. To the right of the pulpit vas a largo oil painting of the deceased. ?he exercises were conducted by the castor, Rev. J. T. Sanderland, who poke very feelingly of Mr. Brigham, giving a brief history of his life, from he time he entered Harvard College to .ho close of his pastorato here. Remurks wero also made by Prof. Pettoe and ?rosident Angelí, eulogistic of the docoased, and lettors wo re read from Rev. J. L. Jones of Janesville, Wis.; Rev. ür. Allen and Rev. Mr. Shippen of 3oston, and Revs. C. G. Howland of ialamazoo, and E. B. Wilson of Salem, Mass., all speaking in the highest terms of Dr. Brigham.
