Called to order by Mr. Harriraan wbo nominated Chas. S. Gregory for choirman. Chas. Toll of Monroo was sclectodfor secretary, who was ompowored to act as committee on credentials. Delegates from "Washter.aw county: Albert Crano, P. D. Eogers, A. K. Clark B. F. Gooding, N. G. Batts, J. L. Burleigh, A. Polbomus, P. Duffy, M. D. Case D. G. Eose, Chas. S. Grpgory, Charles Whitaber. Delegates from Monroe County : A. T. Navarre, Constant Luco, Christian Hertzier, Chas. Toll, Nathan Stuart, G. M. Landon, E. E. Gilday, II. S. Noble. A committee of flve, tkreefrom Washtenaw and twofroui Monroeon permanent organization was announced by the chair asannexed : Messrs. J. L. Burleigh, Albert Crane and David G. Eose froru the f ormer and G. M. Landon and II. Noble of thelattercounty whoroported the temporary should be permanent officers. It was movod the delegates retiro toa room below and meet the delegates from Monroe for private consultation. Mr. Crano moved to lay the motion on the table. Lost. Original motion adopted. Convention re-oonvened. Chairman Gregory read a communieation from the National convention, in substance, inviting delegates of ths Democratie to meet delegates from the National convention ia the Probate office, for the purpose of agreeing upon a caudidate for Judge. Mr. Luce of Monroo offered tho following resolution : Reiolved, That a oommittee of fivo bo appointed by this convention to meet a Jike committee from the National non. ven ti on to coufer as to the possibilily of a unión 011 a Dumocratic candidato for the office of Judge for this circuit, with instruütions th.it lia be a Democrat, and report to this convention in confonnity with ruquest from the National convention. Adopted. Chair appointed C. Luce.H. S. Noble Albert Crane, D. a. Roso, J. L. Bur leigh. After an absence of half an hour the committee reported the mcmbers of the two committües were unable to agree the Nationals insisting upon thenomination of Mr. Prazer. Coininittee was therefore discharged. Upon moüon an informal ballot for Candidato for Jndge was adopted. The chair appointed Mr. Case of Washtonaw aad Noble of Monroe, tellers. Ballot resulted aa follows : Chas. E. Vhitman 8, Groverneur Morris 12. A formal ballot was ordered with the aubjoined result : Chas. R. Whitnian, 7, Gr. Morris 13. Mr. Morris was unanimously noininated: Mr. Landon of Monroe said Mr. Morris had held the offices of Judge of Probate and Circuit Court commissioner. He was a hard workor in the profession and was noted for his labors of over forty years standing. He was incorruptible and can not be approached and the party can rest assured he is a man abovfi suspicion. He can not only carry the Democratie vote, but a large personal vote in Monroe county. His Domocracy has nevor been questioned and he can be rolied upon in ovory time aud place. A judicial coinmitteo was appointed : Messrs. Lewis of Monroe, Crane and Eichmond of Washtenaw. Adjourned.
