Manchesteb, April 1. - School olosed Friday; there will be one week vaoation. - Another gift entertainment at the hall Tuesday evening. - Quite a number of families have been moving into town this spring and nearly allof the vaoaut houses have been taken. - Eaymond Fountain arrived here from Aspinwall, Panama, Fnday night, where he is engaged in therailroad business. This is his former home. - Our enterprising townsman J. H. Miller has returned from Colorado and talks of selling out his property here and going west to live. He thinks it healthier there. - The universalista gavo concert, combined with a sugar festival last Friday evening, which wasnot well attended, owing to tho rainy weather. The entertainment will be repeated tonight. - There will be three tickets in the field the coming election, Democratie, Rtipublican and National. The Republicans meet in cauens Thursday afternoon, the Democrats Friday afternoon and the Greenbackers Saturday.
