Chadeayno of tíattló tíreek, member of the freshman class is announced. - Regent E. C. Walker, after a long illness was able to make an appearance on the strsets of Detroit Saturday, - tir. H. F. tiyster of Detroit, 3 to deliver a courae of lectures on public hygiëne to the medical students in Prof; Palmer's abserlCe at Bowdoin College. - Richard B. Bancroftof PortHiironj and Frank E1. Read of Ann Arbor, both of tho junior class, will represent Penin sula Chapter of Michigan University at the forty-seventh annual convention of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity to be held in Ilartford, May 7 and 8. - The Students' Lecture Association find, as a result of their course for 187879, that they have f üOO in the treas-iry over and above all expenses. This is the largest su;n which was ever cleared by tho association in one year except last year. The araount will probably be clönated to the gymnasium fund. -Dr. A. B. Palmer intends to go 16' Europo nfter the close of the present semester, to be gone about 15 months, for the purpo8e of consulting the medical savants of the Old World in regard to vavicus medical topics, drid f,o finish collocting material for the pubheation, on his return, of a book upon the theory and practice of medicine. - At a meeting of the senior class, Friday afternoon, it was decided, aftcr considerable discussion, to hold the usual senior reception at commencement time. The class this year is quite ariiall, and the expenses consequently will fall pretty heavy on the individual members. - As by a rule adopted by the Regenta no dancing is allowed in the University buildings, a pavilion will probably be built sötnewhere on the Campus, as has been the custoin for two or threo years back.
