All who have -een bim agree in commending his easy grace and exquisite naturalness. The play gives full scope to his powers, and it is charming to see his noble heart and strong imagination lighting np his features until he is almost as poetical as he is chivalrie, in spite of his rough hunter's garb. Mayo throws his whole soul into the character, and really bocomes what be pretends to be. Nothiug can be more natural than his aetion under all circutnstances; and here lies the secret of bis great success and his thrilling power. No actor can more completely merge bimself in a character tban does Mayo in his masterpiece. He has achieved great success, and when one sees him it is easily uuderstood. The whole troupe is good. The scenery, which is carried with them, is fine, and greatly aid the play.- St. Louis GlobcDemucrat. Mr. Mayo will appear in Davy Crockett at the Opera House on Tbursday evening next.
