Sweet fiow'rs, I have no lanenage at command To teil the love I bear yuu; and the joy With which 1 mark your shining buda expand la Ruch as Time is pow'rless to destroy. Brave-hearted daffodils, the first to break Through winter' dearth with prophecies untold; Anemones, that with young April wake, And wallflow'rs, lavish in their brown and gold; Verbena, with her softly-Bcented breath, And bright-faced tulips, laughing in the ligbt, And frail convolvulus, whose carly death Seems the sole shadow of the summer night; Canations, heavy with their f uil perfume; RoRe-tufted thrift, that whiapers of the sea, And lustrons peoaies, whose wealth of bloom Is ever a new myscery nnto me; The pure mnd perfect beauty of the rose; The peerlesB lilies, gleaming white and tall; Wild oolumbine, wherein the bees repose, And blue forget-me-not, beloved of all; The pansy, raising her bright eyes to Heaven; Thestarry jasmine and clematis pure - To such as these my childish heart was given In faith that through all changea shall endure. The winds blow softly through the tow'ring trees, The lark sings out his rspture in the Bky ; Andwhile I have suoh faithful friends as these The busy world may pass unheeded by !
