The receipts of live stock at the Michigan Central stock yards last week were: cattle, 1,422 ; sheep, 1,813 and hos;, 14,427. The cattle market was active, and stock sold readily at lic higher than last week. .Sales were as follows : 12 mixed head, av 885 Ibs, at f3 65 per cwt ; 10 head av 860 tbs, at 83 60 per cwt; 13 steers, av 1,015 Ibs, at $4 40 per cwt; 8 steers, av 985 tbs, at $4 20 per cwt; 10 mixed head, a v 1,030 Ibs, at $3 85 per cwt ; 3 heifers, av 1,000 tbs, at}3 70 per cwt; 7 head, av 650 tbs, at $3 40 per cwt ; 16 choice steers, av 1,315 tbs, at $5 per cwt; 11 mixed head, av 862 tbs, at $3 70 per cwt; 22 steers, av 915 tbs, at $3 75 per cwt ; 9 choice steers, av 1,208 ibs, at $5 per cwt; 6 steers, av 982 tbs, at $4 per cwt; 9 steers, av 1,030 tbs, at $4 per cwt: 4 steeis av 1,320 tbs, at $4 65 per owt; 7 steers, av 1,030 tbs, at $4 15 per cwt; 22 steers, av 930 tbs, at $4 25 per cwt; 6 steers, av 1,285 tbs, at $4 65 per cwt. The sheep market was moderately active at last week1 priees. Sales were as follows : 40, av 88 Ibs, at $4 50 per cwt; 113, av 86 Ibs, at $5 per cwt; 115, av 84 Ibs, at $5 per cwt; 62, av 84 Ibs, at $5 per cwt; 115, av 82 Ibs, at $4 per cwt. Hogs were quoted at $3 45 @ 3 75 per cwt.
