WniTiroRE Lakk, May 24. On Thursday May '22d, G. M. Field, of Groen Oak made an old lad 63 visiting party in celebrationof hermother-in-laws birthday. At tbo closo of ïho afternoon Mr. Field and son Ela ïaving their horsea hitched up started :o tako tvvo of the old ladios home, Mrs. l'odd and Mrs. Wilson. Ju8t as they wero leaving the yard the horses started ;o run and beoaiuo unmauagoablo to lila Field who was driving. Thoy had ;ono not more than ten rods when Mr. Field and Mrs. Wilson wero thrown 'roin tho wagon broaking Mra. "VVilson's wrist and bruising hor face and limbs; when they had gone about 5 rods more Mrs. Todd was thrown between the wheels and the bind wheel struck her ïead and ran ovor her faco killing her nstantly. Ela kept to the wogon for about 80 rods when ho was thrown frotn ,he wagon bruising him some but not eriously. The whole affair was the most serious accident that has ever oocurred in this vicinity. No blame can e attached to any one as the hor6es became unmanageable at the first
