Taomas M. Eganton, a prominent Repuhlican politician and lawyer of Winchester, Ky., died Thnrsday at Lake Minnetonka, Minn. The Attorney General has issued a circular to United States marshals in which he says: "To enable the department to keep court expenses within the limit of each appropriation, it will be necessary for you to set forth the items of your requisitions with great care. You will make requisition against each appropriation for the amount estimated. This appropriation of funds will require you to keep your accounts o that it may be known how much money is in your hands to the credit of each appropriation, at any given time. Such account will serve as a basis of Bubsequent requisitions and reports, and our weekly itemized statements correspond to each appropriation. Requisitions are only to be made for f ees of jurors and witnesses, tor the support of United States prisouers, and for miscellaneous expenses. The National Greenback-Labor party of Pennsylvania met in convention at Altoona Tuesday. Thomas A. Armstrong of Allegheny county was chosen chairman, and subBequentiy Samuel S. Masón, Mercer county, elected permanent president. Henry Carey Baird of Philadelphia was nominated for State treasurer by acclamation. The National Greenback party of Wlsconsin held its annual convention in Watertown Tuesday and nominated the following ticket: Governor - Col. May, of Vernon. Lieuteuant-Governor - W. L. Utley, of Hacine, Secretary of State- G. W. Lee, of Grant. Attorney General - Geo. B. Goodwin, of Milwaukee. Superintendent of Public Instruction- W. H. Searles, of Marathon. State Treasurer-P. A. Griffith. The Uepublican State Convention of Maryland will meet in Baltimore September 12 to nomínate candidates for Governor, Comptroller and Clerk of the Court of Appeals.
