Much tho larger share of the erop was gathered in tho fore part of the week, hough some fialds did not rippn to be cut until soma daya later. The yield is good, fully up to the best in the past, and will average 25 and 30 bushols per acre. Wool and wheat crops of 1879 will put a large amount of nionoy into the pockets nf our farmers. - Win. H. Van Cleve, for many years a resident of Ypsilanti, died early Monday morning at the residence of his father, Major John W. Van Cleve. The deceased was secretary and troasurer of the Peninsular paper company, a position thut he had held since the organization of the company some 12 yoars since. - His disease was aneurism of the aorta. Ha has been eonfined to the house for ieveral months and has bpen a great sufferer.
