Drunk. - Two casos were pending in the Washtenaw Circuit Court again6t EanBOm Saulsbury, otherwise known as ■' Boas" Saulabury, shot on Saturday at Toledo by sergeant Nohl. Saulsburyand Thomas J. Crowell were arrested over a year ago for victiuiiziug a New York farmer on a Michigan Central train near Ann Arbor. They were eubsequently released ou bail and their cabOB several times postponed. - At a meeting of tho Pomological ocíety on Saturday, Secretary Ganzhorn read an interesting paper on tho culture of fruit. A conimittea cotuposeu of S. W. Dorr, Manchester; Edward King, Ypsilanti town ; J. Graham, J. Tonis and Martin Clark, Atm Arbor, was appointed to make arrangements for therepresentation of the society and county in fruitsaud flowers at the State Fair, the committee to make tho selection. - The Washtenaw County Fair will be held at Ann Arbor, September 30, October I,2and3. The Executive Committee ure workins hard to make the fair one of the most suceessful in the history of the society. Edward Treadwell has been appointed Superintendent; M. Fleming, Marshal ; Sampson Parker, C. H. Eichmond, J. S. Henderson, John J. Eobison, George A. Peters, Business committee ; Col. H. S. Dean, E. B. Pond, L. C. Hisdon, Committee on Eeception of Strangeis. A young girl natned Ellen Casey, while returaing home Suiiday night, was knocked downby aruffian onNorth Fourth street. Her screams frightaned hiui so that he fled. The girl succeeded in reaching the gate of her residence, only a short distance, when she fainted, and was carried into the house, and during the night and ensuing day she has gone into repeated epasrns and her nerves seem entirely unstrung. She jays the man followed her down Hurou streel and Fourth. On the latter street she stoppcd to let him pass, when hehit her on the cheek. The man, she says, was a negro, and she thinks she could reeognize hiui if she should see him again. - The annual meeting of the ] tenaw county pioneer society will be ' held in the opera house, on Wednesday next.
